THE Fashion Accessory: 1902

--From The Delineator--

We do crazy things with purses and shoes, but they don't match the shear exuberance of a lady's hat.

My grandmother's sister - my great aunt - was a hat maker of some renown here in Oklahoma. When my grandmother passed away, we found a large stash of lovely hats circa 1940s that our girls delighted in dressing up with. A lost era.

Believe it or not, hats are a consistent good seller at the store. It only became so when I took in an inexpensive line. When you can get a warm hat for under $30 bucks they buy them two or three at a time.

Fancy hats are a non seller.
