I'm still devastated by your assertion that Krispy Kreme donuts aren't the best donuts in the world.

Otherwise, I'm entranced by the sunshine and colors. And have a sneaky suspicion I've seen a lot of these people at the Oklahoma State Fair last September.

Some things are universal.

Great job, Jason!

Very nice collection Jason. I've long been fascinated with the evolution of fair-food and have a small collection of photos myself.

We go every year to the San Diego County Fair to check out the food, the rides, the prize animals, and the spectator events. Last year I took photos of the demolition derby. I missed the RV demolition derby by a day which would have been even more photogenic.

It's great that you can have the fair in the middle of winter. I'm certain that it would be beastly humid to try and stage such a thing in winter in Florida.

Thanks everybody! It was fun, but if I see one more piece of deep fried food I'm going to lose it.

They have a lot of festivals here in Europe and I really enjoy them. But, I do miss the uniquely American vibe of a state fair.
